Introduction:
This course covers some key issues surrounding mental health, it explores what mental health is and what mental health means, and reasons that discourage some people from seeking the appropriate help and support. It introduces an awareness of cultural diversity and mental health issues and gives an understanding of how mental health stigma is created and challenged. It promotes a more positive approach in understanding mental health and will enable you to challenge the negative attitudes, stigma and stereotyping surrounding it.
